Designing interactive PDFs for the web

Using the same story and photo package I worked with for my newspaper centerpiece and jump design, I created a three-page interactive PDF to move the story online.

I used the long, thin photo topper on each page to keep the design coherent. I also had many good photos to work with, so I wanted to make sure they got a lot of play.

The second page is very photo heavy, but I wanted to make sure that readers could see the people in the story. The blue arrow buttons on the bottom navigate through the pages. I made them blue to match the rest of the design.

The final page is text heavy, but if the reader has made it to the third page, they will want to finish the story. I tried to make an interesting pull quote on the page, but I may have left myself too thin of a space.

Have something to say?
